AI and Robotics Uncover Hidden Signatures of Parkinson's Disease
A study unveils a new platform for discovering cellular signatures of disease that integrates robotic systems for studying patient cells with artificial intelligence methods for image analysis. Using their automated cell culture platform, scientists at the successfully identify new cellular hallmarks of Parkinson's disease by creating and profiling over a million images of skin cells from a cohort of 91 patients and healthy controls.

TriLite is a developer and manufacturer of laser beam scanning (LBS) projectors, targeted especially for use in consumer augmented reality (AR) glasses. TriLite's Trixel 3 projector is extremely compact to fit in the arm of glasses, uses a single biaxial MEMS mirror from Infineon, and does not require external relay optics. The firm, based in Vienna, Austria, has developed innovative machine learning-based software to simplify calibration and control, reducing production costs and increasing manufacturing yields.

Flytrex - Drone Delivery Company

Since its inception, Flytrex has been trying to offer on-demand drone delivery for food and retail. As of January 2022, the company employs over 50 people. Flytrex has raised a total of $60.3 million in funding over six rounds. Their latest funding of $40 million was raised on Nov 19, 2021 from a Series C round, invested by BRM capitals.
