先端材料ナノカーボン市場:好況か不況か

After decades of promise and hype, advanced nanocarbons such as graphene and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are beginning to show signs of achieving commercial success. CNTs have found a killer application in lithium-ion batteries as conductive additives - with major expansions in manufacturing capacity underway to meet growing demand. IDTechEx expects that over the next decade, demand from the energy storage sector will drive the commercialization of CNTs, with the evolving supply chain enabling opportunities in industries beyond energy storage.

The outlook is not so straightforward for graphene, celebrating its 20th birthday in 2024. The search for a killer application continues, with diverse and varied potential applications, all leveraging different properties of graphene, from enhanced conductivity to mechanical reinforcement. While some legacy players have fallen, profitable graphene companies are emerging as product launches continue.

In this webinar, Dr Conor O'Brien, a Senior Technology Analyst at IDTechEx will discuss several aspects of the advanced carbon market including:
  • An introduction to the advanced carbon family, including graphene and CNTs
  • A critical assessment of existing and emerging manufacturing methods, including the use of green and waste feedstocks
  • An overview of the key markets that are driving growth of the principle nanocarbon markets, including commercial examples and pain points
  • Commentary on a 10-year market outlook for the nanomaterials

This webinar shares some of the research from the IDTechEx advanced materials market research portfolio.
