At CES 2020 LIVOX announced a price reduction of their LIDAR units, with units starting at $599.

Energy Square

IDTechEx interviewed Energy Square at CES 2020. Rather than contactless power, energy square uses contact pads integrated on surfaces, such as those on the table in the picture, with devices having pins which make contact with the pads and draw power.

At CES 2020 IDTechEx met with MAS. In e-textiles, the company demonstrated a range of products including heated jackets.

Powering Amazon HQ2 With 100% Renewable Energy

Pittsylvania County in Virginia will be the home of a new solar farm, which will power Amazon's new headquarters along with other Amazon-owned operations across the Commonwealth. The project is planned for completion by the summer of 2021. Amazon has contracted 82 megawatts of the new 120 MW solar farm, which is expected to generate 172,500 megawatt hours of renewable energy annually.

IDTechEx analysts visited Aixtron in the UK. Aixtron are a ca 300mEUR revenue company that specialise in CVD equipment for multiple sectors. Their core technology is atmospheric pressure MOCVD using a close coupled showerhead process.

IEE

IEE is a 500 million Euro public company that make sensors and other systems for the automotive industry. They also serve other sectors including wearables, sensors and controls for buildings and input devices.

GenesInk

IDTechEx met with GenesInk at CES 2020. The company provide silver inks, most of which use silver nanoparticles.

Seoul National University

Seoul National University demonstrated a "lift assist suit" at their booth at CES 2020's Eureka Park.

Samsung

Samsung demonstrated an assistive mobility device at CES 2020. The project is a lower body assistive exoskeleton which was developed within Samsung Institute of Advanced Technology (SAIT).

At CES 2020 Royole Corporation showcased a variety of their flexible OLED displays.
