FLIR are a leading company in the development of infrared imaging systems. Their impressive booth at CES 2018 displayed innovation towards smartphone-compatible infrared cameras, and potential systems for adding infrared to the suite of ADAS inputs for increasingly autonomous vehicles.

Suunto

IDTechEx spoke with Suunto at both the IDTechEx Show in November 2017 and again at CES 2018. They are amongst the leading smartwatch manufacturers, but have also recent released a B2B product called Movesense.

See Sense have developed smart bike lights containing sensors to provide data that can be valuable to the user and the local environment. IDTechEx spoke to Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Irene McAleese at their booth in the H2020 pavilion at CES 2018.

PhotonicSens

PhotonicSens have developed a depth sensor based on a special optical system on a CMOS image sensor. The company has spun out following development under an EU H2020 project. IDTechEx visited their booth in the Westgate Exhibition venue at CES 2018.

HabitAware

HabitAware have developed a device that tracks habitual motions of a user and can give notifications when behaviour is occurring. We spoke to John Pritchard, Lead Hardware Engineer at their booth in CES's Eureka Park.

Glatus

Glatus is a brand behind a smart driving sunglasses product. Slightly unusually, the company behind the product is global ad agency Innocean. They developed it for Hyundai who showed the product in their connected driving vision.

Eyesynth

Eyesynth have developed a vision system designed for the visually impaired. IDTechEx spoke to Mark Dodson at their booth as part of the H2020 stand in the Westgate Exhibition hall at CES 2018.

ElderSens

ElderSens is a start-up that have developed a platform for diaper sensing, fall alert and location monitoring. IDTechEx spoke to their VP of Technology Dr. Li Li at their booth in CES's Eureka Park.

Avanix are an Italian company developing various connected wearable devices for tracking and sensing.

Aroma Bit

Aroma Bit have developed a sensor based on a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) for digitally detecting smell. IDTechEx interviewed Shunichiro Kuroki, Founder & CEO at their booth in Eureka Park at CES 2018.

Platoscience Neurostimulation, based out of Copenhagen, unveiled several headsets designed to help users create or concentrate on a given task at CES 2018.

Reliefband

The Reliefband is a non-invasive, drug free device work on the wrist that provides gentle neuromodulation to the medial nerve.

Bluetens

There were several exhibitors in the Sands Expo, CES 2018, offering TENS, EMS, and massage devices for the treatment of chronic musculoskeletal pain. While many of these devices appear to be roughly the same, the Bluetens set of device stood out.

Akili Labs

Matt Omernick, the Chief Creative Office of Akili Labs, detailed their process as they aim to produce the first prescription video game on the market indicated for patients with ADHD at CES 2018.

Interaxon

Interaxon presented both their standard Muse headset for improved meditation alongside their collaborative product with SMITH eyewear at CES 2018.

Neurovalens, a company based out of Belfast, Ireland and UC San Diego, presented their technology- The Modius at CES 2018.
