Sony Group and IoT is introduced. Two IoT use cases are compared: Supervised Automation, and Wearable data generation. The requirements and candidate solutions for an IoT data market place are presented.

講演者の経歴 (Renaud Di Francesco)

Renaud Di Francesco is the Director of the Europe Technology Standards Office of Sony, in support of Sony Group and all their standards needs and technology policy and regulation interests. In his prior assignments, he has developed the external research of Sony as director R&D partnerships-Europe, and launched the first Sony Digital Cinema project for large and small cinema venues. As a co-founder of the European Digital Cinema Forum, he became the first chair of its Economic Module.
He has previously worked for Orange in R&D (PhD & patent on real-time detection of speech events and variable rate coding), led their New Satellite Solution department (VSAT, Satellite News Gathering), and the operator backbone co-operations. He has also an EU civil servant for 3 years, at the European Commission, managing first the portfolio of R&D projects in security, e-commerce and network management, then coordinating the preparation of EU Council meetings of Telecom Ministers leading to the telecom liberalisation of January 1, 1998.
