講演者の経歴 (Yen Kheng Tan)

Dr. Tan YK is presently a visiting scientist at the Institute of Automotive Technology, Technische Universität München (TUM), Germany, whom originated as a research scientist (Group Leader - Energy Harvesting & Sustainable Building Technologies) in the Energy Research Institute @ Nanyang Technological University (ERI@N). He leads a research group comprising of 11 Ph.D-, Master- and Bachelor-trained researchers to conduct research, design, development and testbedding on various academic and industrial projects. Key projects include (a) Energy harvesting systems, (b) Smart IP-connected wireless sensor network (WSN) and optimal control algorithms for lighting control, facilities monitoring, etc., (c) DC renewable connected grid and its high and low voltage power conversion interface and (d) Wireless power transfer systems in mid and far fields i.e. high frequency (MHz) high power (kW) for electric vehicles. He participates in the cultivate of new research projects within ERI@N and with government agencies and industry partners like BMW, Philips, NXP, Panasonic, Vesta, etc. During this appointment, he raised a total of ~ $3 mil for two industrial projects on wireless charging system for EVs and DC renewable connected building grid for LED lightings with smart personal control with Philips & JTC (Finalizing).
