: - By applying less than 1.5 Volts DC, the bright reflected color from a P-Ink surface can be controlled at will over the whole rainbow spectrum with bistable color states, making it highly attractive for tunable color surfaces and reflective displays.
講演者の経歴 (Andre Arsenault)
Andre Arsenault co-founded Opalux Inc. in 2006. As chief technology officer, Andre leads Opalux's research and commercialization of active photonic crystal technology for a range of display, security and other applications. He obtained his Ph.D at the University of Toronto in Polymer and Materials Chemistry (groups of G.A. Ozin and I. Manners) in 2006, has authored or co-authored over 35 refereed publications, and has co-authored 2 editions of the pioneering textbook "Nanochemistry: A chemical approach to nanomaterials". Andre always looks for new fields of opportunity for application of photonic crystal technology, between spending time with his family (wife and 2 boys, aged 4 and 7) and practicing Muay Thai kickboxing. He can be reached at email@example.com.

Opalux is a global leader in photonic color technology research and development. The company's mission is to accelerate the commercialization of new technologies and applications based on the exciting platform technology of innovative photonic color. One of the technologies is Photonic Ink (P‐Ink), a tunable electroactive material. By applying different voltages to this material, the photonic crystal structure can be modulated to reflect any desired spectral color in the visible spectrum. Not only is the color tunable, but switching is carried out at low voltages (1.5 V or lower) and amperages (μA), and the resulting color states are bistable. All these performance characteristics make Opalux's P‐Ink technology a viable option for next generation full color reflective displays.
