Micro Energy Harvester using Magnetostrictive Material (Energy Harvesting and Storage Europe 2011)

Toshiyuki Ueno received a BE, ME, and a Dr. Eng. degree in mechanical engineering from Tohoku University, Japan, in 1995, 1997, and 2001, respectively. He was a researcher of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science from 2003 to 2005. Since 2009, he has been an associate professor in Kanazawa University. His research interest includes micro device using magnetostrictive material such as micro actuator and energy harvester and their industrial applications.

Kanazawa University, inheriting the tradition of its predecessor school, was established in 1949. As the leading university on the Sea of Japan coast, Kanazawa University has contributed greatly to Japanese higher education and academic research. The university shall actively contribute to society by opening up new academic fields and by promoting the transfer of technology and the creation of new industry.
