Printing RF/microwave electronics creates additional challenges (materials, printing, characterization) compared with low-frequency applications. UMass Lowell is researching 2D and 3D additive technologies for defense and commercial applications through the Raytheon-UMass Lowell Research Institute (RURI) and the Printed Electronics Research Collaborative (PERC). This talk will discuss novel research such as a ferroelectric ink for tunable components in frequency-agile applications.

講演者の経歴 (Craig Armiento)

Craig Armiento is a Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He is a founder and Co-Director of the Raytheon-UMass Lowell Research Institute (RURI) and is the Director of the Printed Electronics Research Collaborative (PERC). Prior to coming to UMass Lowell in 2003, Prof. Armiento had over twenty years of industrial R&D experience at GTE, Verizon and LightChip with a focus on photonics and optical communications. Prof. Armiento earned his Ph.D. and two Masters degrees from MIT and his BSEE from Manhattan College.
