Powercast is the leader in RF-based wireless power technology that enables long-range, true wireless charging without wires or charging mats. Since 2003, Powercast has provided solutions that combine its FCC-approved transmitter and high-efficiency receiver chip to enable over-the-air recharging of one or many devices.
How it works: A transmitter sends RF energy to the Powerharvester® receiver chip embedded in a device, which efficiently converts it to DC to recharge its batteries or directly power the device.
Two long-range transmitters serve different markets. Powercast's Powercaster® was FCC approved in 2010 for commercial and industrial applications, and its PowerSpot® targets consumer electronics.
