ESL has developed and manufactured screen-printable thick-film pastes (conductors, dielectrics and resistors) for almost 50 years. These advanced, high temperature firing materials are used in hybrid circuits, multilayer microelectronics, electronic components, heaters on insulated steel, solar cells, SOFC and temperature/pressure/gas sensors. Screen-printable polymer-based pastes are also manufactured for use on rigid, and flexible plastic substrates. These may also be applied to cloth and paper. Ink jet printing may be achieved by rheological adjustments. Typical applications for the latter material group include wearable and/or portable electronics, organic solar cells and printed antennas for contactless RFID.
