Saule Technologies is a Polish start-up company, one of the global forerunners in commercialisation of thin-film perovskite solar cells. Saule's primary objective is to develop a scalable manufacturing process to deliver flexible and light-weight photovoltaic modules for a vast range of applications. Highly cost effective technology is promised by employing inexpensive raw materials and ink-jet printing technology as an industrialisation method. In March 2016, the first prototype of a flexible photovoltaic module, which can be easily incorporated into a smartphone, was presented by SAULE's team.
