Wearable to detect hidden anxiety, depression in young children
Anxiety and depression are surprisingly common among young children - as many as one in five kids suffer from one of them, starting as early as the preschool years. But it can be hard to detect these conditions, known as "internalizing disorders," because the symptoms are so inward-facing that parents, teachers and doctors often fail to notice them.

Gramedis
Gramedis are a Korean start up that have developed sensors for monitoring diapers. In contrast to other techniques which have used flexible sensors in the diaper itself, their solution is an electronic device which attaches to the outside of the diaper via Velcro.

KAIST (ADVNANO)
IDTechEx met with Hamin Shin from KAIST. Hamin works within the ADVNANO (Advanced Nano - Energy and Materials) lab under Professor Il-Doo Kim. They demonstrated a poster showing the process that they had developed for coating yarns. The yarn is treated with jetted metal via an electrospinning process.
