University of Campinas (Unicamp)

Located in University of Campinas (UNICAMP), the Department of Science and Technology Policy (DPCT) was created in 1985 to run teaching, research and engagement activities in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) policy, planning and management. It heads one of the most prestigious graduate programmes in this area receiving students from all over the country and from many countries from Latin America. Since its origins, DPCT has developed a multidisciplinary approach drawing concepts from different disciplines as economics, sociology, history, engineering, and management. Its core competencies are in policy analysis, design and evaluation, innovation systems, foresight studies, planning and management of R&D and innovation, entrepreneurship and sectoral and regional development.
