Volocopter Collaborates with Microsoft on VoloIQ Aerospace Cloud

Volocopter announced a strategic collaboration with Microsoft to develop an aerospace cloud system in Microsoft Azure that will address the nascent cloud computing requirements for eVTOLs, UAM, and autonomous aviation. Once primed for commercial use, Azure will support the digital platform VoloIQ, the operating system for Volocopter's UAM services, and its subsequent transition to autonomous operations.

Malaysia Airports, Skyports, and Volocopter Collaborate on Vertiport

Malaysia Airports has signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding with Skyports and Volocopter. As a first step, the parties will combine their distinct aerospace and aviation expertise to conduct a feasibility study examining suitable vertiport solutions to enable the safe take-off and landing of passenger eVTOL vehicles, considering factors such as demand, customer flow, and how to integrate UAM operations.
