IDTechEx analysts attended CES 2019 in Las Vegas during 6th to 12th January 2019. This article covers Senior Technology Analyst Dr Xiaoxi He's highlights.

Nike has found its most advanced fit solution to date: Nike Adapt, a platform that creates a truly custom fit by combining an advanced power-lacing system, an app and continually updated firmware.

Anxiety and depression are surprisingly common among young children - as many as one in five kids suffer from one of them, starting as early as the preschool years. But it can be hard to detect these conditions, known as "internalizing disorders," because the symptoms are so inward-facing that parents, teachers and doctors often fail to notice them.

Gramedis are a Korean start up that have developed sensors for monitoring diapers. In contrast to other techniques which have used flexible sensors in the diaper itself, their solution is an electronic device which attaches to the outside of the diaper via Velcro.

Care Harmony Corp. and their product Beneficial Vision demonstrated another company trying to make and sell smart contact lenses.

IDTechEx first reported on products from WBD101 following CES 2017, where they showed products with Actywell, among others. This time we had an extended conversation with Kow describing his thoughts on the industry, and the outlook for their business.

IDTechEx interviewed Mano Samuel, Senior Embedded Engineer from Olive Union at their booth at CES 2019's Eureka Park. Olive Union are a Korean company that have developed an OTC hearing assist solution.

IDTechEx was given a tour of the Widex booth at CES 2019 by two of the audiologist staff present. They demonstrated their latest hearing aid technology, including their latest "AI" features and their hearing aid powered by a fuel cell.

IDTechEx spoke to Danielle Bateman, Senior Customer Care Representative at Nuheara. They have developed headphone products targeted at those with mild or the beginnings of hearing loss.

IDTechEx spoke with representatives from Oticon at their booth at CES 2019. They demonstrated the latest features in their hearing aids, including an "AI assistant" for hearing care, launched at the event.

Sinopulsar demonstrated various products for caring for infants, including a smart diaper, bib and garment.

IDTechEx met with Hamin Shin from KAIST. Hamin works within the ADVNANO (Advanced Nano - Energy and Materials) lab under Professor Il-Doo Kim. They demonstrated a poster showing the process that they had developed for coating yarns. The yarn is treated with jetted metal via an electrospinning process.

UUP Safety (pronounced you-up) have developed a firefighter monitoring system using wearable devices and electronic textiles. IDTechEx interviewed General Manager Rich Lee at their booth on the Taiwan Pavillion at CES 2019's Eureka Park.
