IDTechEx visited the Garmin booth at CES 2020. Highlights included their new Fenix 6 watch, a high end sports watch with newly integrated energy harvesting via photovoltaics integrated into the bezel and on the display of the watch.

Monit is a startup founded in 2017 after initial development in Samsung's C-Lab since 2015. They have developed smart diapers, including a series of sensors such as temperature, humidity and gas sensors for detection of urine and faeces. The Healthcare Sensor Innovations conference will focus on the latest developments in the use of wearables and sensors in continuous monitoring of individuals and point-of-care diagnostics.

Bioengineers have further developed a smart insulin-delivery patch that could one day monitor and manage glucose levels in people with diabetes and deliver the necessary insulin dosage. The adhesive patch, about the size of a quarter, is simple to manufacture and intended for once-a-day use.
