Prieto Battery, founded in 2009 by Dr. Amy Prieto, has been developing innovative 3D lithium-ion solid-state batteries. The company emerged as a spin-out from Colorado State University, where Dr. Prieto, a professor of chemistry, sought to address the limitations of conventional lithium-ion batteries by leveraging her expertise in nanostructured materials and electrodeposition techniques.
