Presentation Summary

The ongoing deployment of IoT devices entails new challenges, such as the tradeoff between security and ease-of-use. Today, the IoT application providers not only need to include secured wireless communication methods but also need to make the commissioning of the devices easy to use. Therefore, we present approaches and findings of our ongoing feasibility study on how to combine IoT, security and usability by using NFC-enabled smartphones.
