LoRa Solutions For IoT Connectivity

Dr Jean-Paul Bardyn, Vice-President R&D, Wireless and Sensing Products
Semtech Corporation

Presentation Summary

LoRa radio technology has since its inception contributed to large adoption of the LoRaWAN protocol based IOT devices. Primary benefits of LoRa are very low power consumption, very long range of communication, open standards and large eco-system of hard- and software vendors as well as 100 network operators globally. Solutions can be based on either public network or private network, both at very low costs. Many use cases in different verticals have been deployed today, which are showing that LoRaWAN becoming the de-facto standard for LPWANs.
