Speaker Biography (Devin MacKenzie)

Devin MacKenzie is an expert in emerging electronic materials, printed and flexible electronics with 15 years of experience starting and leading research and commercialization in these fields in the US, Europe and Asia. He is currently CEO of Imprint Energy, a Berkeley spin-out commercializing ultrathin flexible batteries based on large-area printing processes for wearable electronics and the internet of things. As CTO of Add-Vision, Inc., Dr. MacKenzie led the development fully printed flexible OLED displays. Prior to Add-Vision, he led printed RF device development at KPCB-backed Kovio and co-founded Plastic Logic from the University of Cambridge as a research staff member in the Department of Physics working in organic electronics, photovoltaics and OLEDs. He has 110 patents and publications and doctorate, master's, and undergraduate degrees from the University of Florida and MIT and a scientific background in nanoscale, organic, Si, and III-N electronic materials and optoelectronic devices.
