Xaar's Strategic Entry into Printed Electronics: Printhead developments and case studies (Printed Electronics 2004)

The presentation introduces the company, its business development strategy and product roadmap for printed electronics' applications. The entry-level print head family, OmniDot(TM), will be discussed and Xaar's Generation-III, side-shooter technology presented.

 

A number of case studies will be reviewed.

 

John Attard is the Business Development Manager for organic semiconductors and printed electronics. Prior to his appointment at Xaar, he gained 15 years of international experience as a specialist in the management and commercialisation of science and technology. In recent years, John has held senior business development and management positions at Cambridge Display Technology, Rescitech Ltd, Philips Electronics in The Netherlands and SINTEF Unimed in Norway, amongst others.

UK-based Xaar Plc is the world's leading supplier of ink jet print heads to the non-aqueous graphics art markets, with 70% market share. Xaar is continuing to build on this success and is promoting its existing, and next generation, print heads in to non-traditional and emerging markets, such as labelling, packaging, printed electronics and displays, amongst others.
