IDTechEx forecasts the global commercial and industrial battery energy storage system (BESS) market to reach US$21B in value by 2036.

 

Commercial and industrial (C&I) BESS markets are typically under-reported and under-appreciated due to the scale of grid-scale battery storage deployments which dominate headlines. However, the importance of behind-the-meter (BTM) battery storage installations should not be underestimated, given the value that these technologies can provide to customers.
