Jan's passion is the architectural engineering - the interaction between technology, building

materials and structure and the architectural form itself. He is highly valued by his clients for his

skills as an integrator between the architectural aspirations and the potentials that they hold with

respect to engineering and technical innovations.

His work on structural use of glass for the building envelope has made him an

acknowledged and internationally recognized expert in this field. His book "Structural

Glass" was published in German, English and Mandarin by Birkhäuser.

Since 2011 he is holding the Firm's Research Portfolio in Europe and since April 2012 he is

heading the Technology Team in Berlin.
