Presentation Summary

  • High fidelity thermal model, which is capable of describing temperature distributions in both the radial and axial directions of large form factor cylindrical supercapacitor cells.
  • The model consists of multiple 1D elements, and therefore is significantly less computationally expensive than true three-dimensional modeling.

Speaker Biography (Wasim Sarwar)

Wasim Sarwar is a Doctoral Researcher at Imperial College London, where he is focusing upon the combination of supercapacitors and batteries for automotive applications. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manchester, and subsequently joined Jaguar Land Rover as a Research Engineer. Wasim can be contacted at w.sarwar@imperial.ac.uk .
