Speaker Biography (Philippe Schottland)

Dr Philippe Schottland is currently the Manager of the Advanced Technology Group at Sun Chemical Corporation. In his current role, he directs the Research and Development activities of a global team in new growth areas including Printed Electronics and Special Effect Pigments.
Dr Schottland joined Sun Chemical in 2005 after 6 years at General Electric where he held various Technology positions in the Plastics division. He earned a PhD in Materials Chemistry from the University Paris XIII, a post-graduate degree in Polymer Chemistry from the University Paris VI, and an engineer diploma in Chemistry & Chemical Engineering from Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Organique et Minérale (France). His technical experience includes conductive polymers, color technology, visual effects, security pigments, display films, optical media, special copolymers and other applications. To date, Dr Schottland has had 23 papers published in scientific journals, 22 US Patents issued and over 10 patents pending.
