Presentation Summary

I will present the possibilities of using Nanoscribe's 3D microprinting technology and highlight customer applications in the fields of medicine and biology. The technology allows for the straightforward printing of virtually any 3D object, with linewidths and line-distances down to 0.2 µm and 0.5 µm, respectively. At the same time, it allows for total sample sizes in the range of several millimeters. Thus, tailored objects can be fabricated for interacting with both the macroscopic world and microscopic objects, e.g. with small blood vessels or even individual cells.

Speaker Biography (Jochen Zimmer)

In 2013, Jochen Zimmer received his doctorate at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in the field of superconducting nanostructures. For several years he worked in the macro-3D printing industry (for INDMATEC GmbH and Stratasys GmbH MakerBot Division) before joining Nanoscribe GmbH as a Sales Manager in spring 2017.
