The know how to exploit at scale IoT crosses many domains and no one company can expect to have all the skills. Therefore collaboration in the IoT ecosystem is critical where every participant in the development/operation of IoT solutions must understand their special role and be able to communicate that role to others.

Speaker Biography (Colin I'Anson)

Colin I'Anson leads the early stages of getting into new markets. Currently he is investigating how digital ecosystems are assembled for the benefit of all participants. His focus is on the business architecture and the end-to-end system design ensuring HPE digital solutions deliver valuable outcomes, integrating partners, creating proof points and aligning product and service capabilities.
Prior to his current role, he was the Chief Technologist for the emerg-ing IoT program in EMEA and created the technology for HPE's Cloud28+ a catalogue of cloud services that creates demand for HPE's service provider partners. He also established the early solu-tion foundations for HPE's NFV business.
I'Anson joined HP in 1980 as a R&D engineer in Scotland and in 1986 moved to HP Labs in Bristol. Subsequently he drove new business creation based on HP Labs mobile systems technologies, working in a variety of senior roles in telecommunications and network architec-ture and engineering.
I'Anson holds a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering and a Ph.D. in digital signal processing for seismology both from the University College of North Wales (Prifysgol Bangor). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (FIET).
