Prof. Kar received his PhD in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, in 2004. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Physics Department of Northeastern University. Prof. Kar is a nanomaterials physicist researching in the field of nano-carbon systems such as graphene and carbon nanotubes. His interests lie in the field of nanoelectronics, engineered optics, and energy generation and storage using graphene and related materials.
