Speaker Biography (Sam Cowley)

Sam Cowley leads the Alta Devices Product Engineering group. He works with technical
teams in sensors, consumer devices, automobiles and aerial vehicles to integrate Alta
Devices high efficiency, thin, lightweight GaAs cells. He has wide ranging experience in
solar, having worked on concentrating PV, building integrated PV and thin film PV. He
holds a BSME from UC San Diego and MSEE from Stanford University.
