Presentation Summary

Quad Industries is a leading innovator in the field of printed electronics manufacturing.
By means of highly accurate screen-printing techniques we integrate smart functionality (ranging from circuitry, to sensors and antennae) on various substrates such as flexible or even stretchable materials.

This presentation introduces our printed electronics technology platform,
and highlights recent developments in the healthcare and wearable markets.

Speaker Biography (Wim Christiaens)

Dr. Wim Christiaens is expert in the field of flexible and stretchable electronics development and manufacturing.
He obtained his PhD in electronic engineering from Ghent University (Belgium) in 2009 for his work on the integration of passive and active components inside flexible circuit boards, and has further experience in business development and printed circuit board manufacturing.
He joined Quad Industries in 2014 as R&D director to coordinate strategic innovations with a strong focus on exploring new technologies and applications in the field of (screen)printed electronics.

Company Profile (Quad Industries)

As a solution provider for Printed Flexible Electronics, Quad Industries uses its expertise in high-precision, automated screen printing techniques to integrate functionality directly on lightweight, flexible and stretchable materials such as PET film, TPU, paper and textiles. This allows the integration of a wide range of electronics - touch controls, sensors, connectivity, heating - in any object, whatever its shape, size or material. Through in-house automatic SMD assembly, we create hybrid flexible electronics that find their way in sports & healthcare wearables, automotive interiors, smart objects and many more. With a competence center in Belgium and a production location in Slovakia, we are in the heart of Europe. Ready to support you from lab-scale prototypes to volume manufacturing.
