Presentation Summary

To fully exploit the potential of printed, flexible and in-mold electronics, materials suppliers need to deliver customized solutions, not just materials to simplify downstream activities or improve offerings from system integrators and OEMs/ODMs. SABIC fully understands this need and has positioned itself as a key solutions provider. Working closely with our customers and validation partners from various industrial segments, we are developing functionalized polymer films for a wide range of applications, thermoformable hard-coated films for in-mold electronics, high performance substrates for flexible PCBs, LDS films for antenna integration, ultra-low thickness high heat substrate for the most demanding applications. In combination with films SABIC has developed special resins for electronics overmolding to allow lower pressure and temperature and increase system reliability.
We will show how our differentiated solutions are well positioned to address the current gaps as well as the emerging needs of this industry.

Speaker Biography (Giacomo Parisi)

Giacomo Parisi works as a Marketing Leader in a market-facing unit at SABIC, focusing on electronics. Previously, he worked in different marketing and application development functions for specialty materials in auto and electrical sector.
He received his MBA degree in 2011 from SDA Bocconi in Italy and Master's Degree in Material Engineering in 2004 from Politecnico of Milan.

Speaker Biography (Ashok Sridhar)

Ashok Sridhar works as a senior scientist in a market-facing role at SABIC, focusing on printed and in-mold electronics. Previously, he worked as a research scientist at Holst Centre in the Netherlands, developing interconnection technologies for flexible electronics systems. He also had a brief post-doctoral stint at the Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nano Systems in Germany.
Sridhar received his Ph.D. degree in 2010 from the University of Twente in the Netherlands, for a dissertation on inkjet printing of conductive structures. He received a Master's Degree in production technology in 2005 from the Aachen University of Technology in Germany and a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering in 2001 from the University of Madras in India.
Sridhar has authored and co-authored several publications, mostly dealing with printed electronics.
