Presentation Summary

Self-Powered wireless controls are simple to install. The Bluetooth devices (switches and beacons) use EnOcean energy harvesting technology to communicate wirelessly with other devices supporting Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). They provide convenient control of lighting, temperature and miscellaneous electric loads.
The switch is and beacon are self-powered and never require batteries because the simple act of pressing the rocker or by collecting enough ambient light through the solar ceell generates enough energy to send a BLE advertising telegrams to other devices.
The switch can also be configured via NFC for quick and easy setup.

Speaker Biography (Matthias Kassner)

Matthias Kassner leads the product marketing activities of EnOcean.
He is responsible for defining future innovative EnOcean products and the product marketing of the existing portfolio.
Prior to this position, Matthias worked 12 years at Texas Instruments in various positions ranging from Field Application Engineer to EMEA Produkt Marketing Manager
for TI's OMAP application processor platforms.
Matthias holds the degree of electrical engineer from Technical University of Ilmenau.
