This webinar, presented by IDTechEx Technology Analyst Daniele Gatti, will provide an introduction to Redox Flow Batteries (RFBs), addressing some of the technologies developed, and giving an overview of the flow battery market.
 
The increased adoption of renewable energies, and modernization of the electricity grid, and the increasing energy demand, boost the adoption of energy storage devices.
 
Redox flow batteries are one of the main candidates to fulfil this demand in the next future. Started to be developed in the late 80's, this technology is now starting to take off in the energy storage market. Besides the advantages this technology offers, the market is currently dominated by the large adopted Li-ion batteries, which present a lower capital cost, hindering the adoption of RFBs.
 
In this webinar, the main redox flow battery technologies will be analysed, explaining which are the main advantages and drawbacks of this technology.
 
The webinar will also provide an overview of the different energy storage sectors addressed by RFBs, showing the main companies involved in the commercialization of redox flow batteries.
