Piezoskin

Piezoskin is a startup established as a spin-off of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT). We aim to design, produce and sell Wind Harvester, an innovative device generating electrical energy by air and fluid flows at very low speed; such device is a flexible carpet-shaped module composed of an array of piezoelectric flags. The flexible component is easily conformable (customizable) to any kind of surface and it can be used on the interior walls of highway galleries and subway tunnels, in indoor and outdoor environments. Thanks to Piezoskin no kinetic energy from air and fluid flows will be wasted anymore.
