Aquafil

Aquafil is a leading manufacturer of synthetic fibers, best known for creating ECONYL, a sustainable nylon made from recycled waste like fishing nets and industrial plastics. In 2011 Aquafil developed a PA6 chemical decomposition technology known as the ECONYL regeneration system which depolymerises PA into its caprolactam monomer, which are subsequently repolymerised into ECONYL nylon yarns for either textile or carpet applications.
