Another notable announcement was from Pure Watercraft, a startup that revealed it would codevelop battery-electric watercraft with General Motors. General Motors acquired a 25% stake in the company in November 2021. Although not an incumbent outboard maker, General Motors' significant resources and 'Ultium' battery platform developed with LG Chem provides Pure Watercraft with good prospects.
