Kindred.ai is based in California and Vancouver. It was established in 2014 and has since raised $44M. It focuses on robotic grasping and pick-and-place.

In cities, we depend on apps such as Waze and Google Maps to help us discover new places. At home, we use these apps to beat the rush-hour traffic and find the quickest routes to school, work, and other places we regularly frequent. But sometimes, we doubt a suggested turn; we question a re-route; we suspect an arrival-time estimate.

Automation in the delivery/logistic and warehousing/fulfilment chain is a growing market. A particularly exciting subset of this is the use of mobile robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles for automation of movement-based tasks.
