CDT is developing printed low-cost flexible OLEDs that can offer low power, bespoke colours and long lifetime in everyday applications. The resulting OLEDs are thin and lightweight, with distributed icons over large areas achieving performances suitable for a wide range of consumer products, with demonstrated compatibility with touch sensor and NFC technologies.
Speaker Biography (Alexander Doust)
Alexander Doust has been at CDT since 2008, working on a variety of printed electronics technologies including OLED displays & lighting, OPV and OPDs, focussing on technology development, market analysis and relationships with partner companies.
He is leading the FlexOLED development, passionate about delivering engineering solutions for production scale-up, and widening the appeal of FlexOLED into consumer products through innovative new prototypes, designed to simulate customer engagement in our technology offering.
