Speaker Biography (Gordon Smith)

Dr. Gordon Smith is the Chief Technology Officer for GSI Technologies, LLC. As the head of the Functional Printing Division, Gordon has responsibility for ensuring the capabilities at GSI Technologies are best in class to assist printed electronics customers scale products off the lab bench and into production. Gordon has spent the majority of his 20+ year career developing and commercializing unique products within a broad scope of markets including printing & publishing, semiconductors, microelectronics packaging, high density circuits, optical storage, displays, and 3D printing. Through his career, Gordon has presented at a broad range of conferences covering material science related topics, and is the inventor or co-inventor on 11 US Patents. Gordon holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Michigan Technological University, an MS and ScD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
