He is also an Adjunct Professor of Materials Science & Engineering at McMaster University, Canada. His research interests are wide-ranging, from molecularly engineered compounds for photoreceptors, toners, inks, document security and authentication to nanostructured materials for optoelectronics, sensors, displays, and printed electronics. Dr. Ong is the holder of 120 US patents and many foreign equivalent patents in Europe and Asia.
