Advances in the design of enabling materials technologies for printed transistor circuits (Printed Electronics 2004)

 

Dr. Beng Ong is a Senior Fellow of Xerox Corporation, and Manager of Advanced Materials and Printed Electronics Research at Xerox. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Materials Science & Engineering at McMaster University, Canada. His research interests are wide-ranging, from molecularly engineered compounds for photoreceptors, toners, inks, document security and authentication to nanostructured materials for optoelectronics, sensors, displays, and printed electronics. Dr. Ong is the holder of 120 US patents and many foreign equivalent patents in Europe and Asia.

Xerox Research Centre of Canada (XRCC) is Xerox's strategic materials research center, enabling the flow of leading-edge imaging materials from research concepts to supplies and consumables solutions. XRCC leverages its core competencies in materials design, synthesis, characterization, evaluation, and scale-up to deliver environmentally sound materials and processes that support lower cost, higher quality color printing, as well as materials for new business creation. Specifically, XRCC conducts materials research in toners, inks, photoreceptors and specialty media to support xerographic and direct marking color printing technologies. Research in electronic materials is also being carried for digital document media, displays and printed electronics to bridge the gap between paper and electronic documents.
