Speaker Biography (Tjalf Pirk)
Dr. Tjalf Pirk is research engineer at Robert Bosch Corporate Research in Stuttgart, Germany. He graduated in physics at Technical University in Berlin prior to starting his Ph.D. thesis in 2002, working at Robert Bosch Sensor Development in Reutlingen, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Roland Zengerle of IMTEK, Freiburg, Germany. He has worked on several topics during his now ten years of microsystems experience, spending a good part of the last few on scouting energy harvesting and storage and its possible uses with microsystems technologies.
