MTU's strength is a wide and flexible portfolio of powertrain and energy solutions for a large variety of applications like marine and rail propulsion, power for C&I and decentralized energy supply. Although those markets are not known to be innovation-driven the electrification of powertrains can add significant value for the customer.
In this presentation MTU will give an insight of the challenge and approach of electrifying a large product portfolio as well as the chances for the customer by electrification and hybridisation as well as by sophisticated automatization and supporting the operator with autonomous functions.
Speaker Biography (Frank Skrzypinski)
Frank Skrzypinski joined MTU Friedrichshafen after his Diploma as mechanical engineer at the University of Karlsruhe and the ENSAM (Ecole nationale supérieure d'Arts et Métiers) in Metz and Paris.
At MTU he was responsible for the development and application engineering of special purpose engines and propulsion systems before joining the team Research & Technology and being responsible for the system development of E-drives and hybrid systems
