Creating Viable Energy Harvesting Sensor Nodes With Off The Shelf Technology (IDTechEx Sensors USA 2015)

The often transient nature of available power within an energy harvesting system creates a significant challenge for reliable data storage and communication. In this presentation we will explore the generic architecture and challenges associated with many of todays energy harvesting systems and investigate real word solutions which can dramatically improve performance and are available today.

David Smith is a Product Marketing Engineer for TI's ultra-low-power MSP43x microcontroller family. He has more than fifteen years of experience in the semiconductor market. Dave's career at TI has included roles in the U.K, Germany and the U.S. He graduated from Sheffield Hallam Univeristy in 1993 with a B.S. in Electronics.
