Creativity in a Technical Industry (Printed Electronics & Photovoltaics USA 2010)

 

Zoe Robson began her design career at Central Saint Martin's where she graduated as a product designer with first class honours. She has since led a successful career designing products and graphics within the creative industry; many of her concepts have won national and international awards. In 2010 Zoe graduated with distinction as one of London South Bank University's MSc Enterprise Associates. During her time at LSBU, Zoe has been project leader and co-designer of a number of products targeted for commercial markets. More recently she has founded Zed-Studio- a spin-out from LSBU - and is head of an integrated team developing a slim-line modular lighting controller that drives and sequences EL and LEDs. The need for the technology derived from the award winning concept FootLume®.

Zed Studio Ltd is a spin out company from London South Bank University. We offer a service that designs and manufactures interactive products and graphics where printed electronic technologies are combined with first class industrial and graphic design. We have developed our own ergonomic microprocessor control system called Sequ-EL. The product is central to prototyping and the end product and ensures our own development is innovative, quick and cost efficient. Sequ-EL is also available as a product in its own right and is presented in the market as means to help other creative's exploit the many benefits and features of printed electronics without the need for any technical expertise.

Initially any developments will incorporate electroluminescent panels, LEDs, interactive printed sensors and displays. In the future Sequ-EL will operate with OLEDs, electrochromics and other lighting and thin film display technologies.
