Company Profile

GS1 UK is the unrivalled UK authority on cross sector supply chain standards. Over the past 27 years we have established an unrivalled reputation in the UK as the authority on the global GS1 Standards for supply chain management. GS1 Standards include the following four key supply chain technologies:
  • Bar coding
  • Electronic business messaging
  • Radio frequency identification
  • Data synchronisation

We also participate in the global development and management of GS1 Standards, representing our members' needs and ensuring these standards are accessible and affordable to the widest range of UK companies, from the very largest to the very smallest.

The GS1 System is a common language of electronic identification and communication that can be used by any organisation regardless of size, industry or location. We provide access to these standards over 17,500 members, offering services that enable them to manage their key business processes more effectively.

The use of these standards drives cost out of the supply chain, improving productivity and efficiency.
