As a leading supply chain management organisation, we advise industry on the latest developments in SCM and help business to implement SCM best practices and enabling technologies. The HKANA is the local chapter of EAN International, a global supply chain standards organisation with around 1,000,000 members in 133 countries/economies worldwide. It is the only organisation in Hong Kong authorised to issue EAN.UCC article numbers (also known as e-IDs in Hong Kong). Crucial for the smooth working of global SCM, EAN.UCC numbers enable companies across the world to communicate using the same business language. In March 2004, EPCglobal Hong Kong is formed under the auspices of HKANA as the local representative body of EPCglobal Inc., a non-profit joint venture of EAN International & Uniform Code Council, responsible for administrating the EPC related services in Hong Kong.
