Ms Anna Lin joined the Hong Kong Article Numbering Association in 1989.

 

As Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Article Numbering Association and EPCglobal Hong Kong, Ms Lin¡¯s responsibilities include overall management and development of the Association whose role is to facilitate, advise and support Hong Kong industries on the use of international supply chain management standards and technologies such as global identification numbers, bar codes, XML/EDI messaging, and more recently EPC/RFID to enable global trade and commerce. HKANA is the local chapter of EAN International represented in 133 countries/economies with over 1,000,000 corporate users worldwide.

 

Ms Lin is represented at numerous international and local committees including Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) Asia Council, ISO/SC31 on Automatic Data Capture, Hong Kong Logistics Development Council (LOGSCOUNCIL) of the HKSAR and Trade Development Council¡¯s Logistics Advisory Committee. Ms Lin is also a frequent speaker at various international and local forum.

 

Before joining the HKANA, Ms Lin worked for a UK-based HK apparel group where she held the position of Business Planning Manager with the responsibility of business planning.and information management.

 

Anna Lin is a Hong Kong native and she holds a MBA degree in Strategic Management from the Birmingham University in UK.

The Hong Kong Article Numbering Association (HKANA - EAN Hong Kong) is an independent, non-profit making, industry support organisation and was founded by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce in 1989. As a leading supply chain management organisation, we advise industry on the latest developments in SCM and help business to implement SCM best practices and enabling technologies.

 

The HKANA is the local chapter of EAN International, a global supply chain standards organisation with around 1,000,000 members in 133 countries/economies worldwide. It is the only organisation in Hong Kong authorised to issue EAN.UCC article numbers (also known as e-IDs in Hong Kong). Crucial for the smooth working of global SCM, EAN.UCC numbers enable companies across the world to communicate using the same business language.

 

In March 2004, EPCglobal Hong Kong is formed under the auspices of HKANA as the local representative body of EPCglobal Inc., a non-profit joint venture of EAN International & Uniform Code Council, responsible for administrating the EPC related services in Hong Kong.
