The industry is running through a world-wide paradigm shift. To enhance productivity we can now observe a digital transformation across the entire value chain, which spans multiple verticals, such as energy, healthcare, manufacturing or transportation. Building upon the Internet of Things (IoT), within the Industrial IoT (IIoT) related technologies are being used in each industrial use case. A particular issue is the interoperability between heterogeneous systems. This talk will highlight related challenges and provide an overview of approaches that are expected to be used factories of the future.
