Speaker Biography (Andre Arsenault)Andre Arsenault co-founded Opalux Inc. in 2006. As chief technology officer, Andre leads Opalux's research and commercialization of active photonic crystal technology for a range of display, security and other applications. He obtained his Ph.D at the University of Toronto in Polymer and Materials Chemistry (groups of G.A. Ozin and I. Manners) in 2006, has authored or co-authored over 35 refereed publications, and has co-authored 2 editions of the pioneering textbook "Nanochemistry: A chemical approach to nanomaterials". Andre always looks for new fields of opportunity for application of photonic crystal technology, between spending time with his family (wife and 2 boys, aged 4 and 7) and practicing Muay Thai kickboxing.
