Presentation SummaryIn the mid-90s, the first lithium-ion batteries sold for around USD3,000/kWh. 20 years later the price per kWh hovers as low as USD150 according to some reports, and demand for lithium is at an all-time high and projected to grow tenfold by 2020. At the moment, graphene-based ultracapacitors are a niche market until significant performance increase and cost decrease are achieved. Skeleton Technologies is launching a new, curved graphene-based large ultracapacitor with a capacitance of 5000 farads. Where do the ultracapacitor performance and cost thresholds need to meet to achieve total market penetration? Speaker Biography (Gert Miedema)Gert Miedema (Dutch) holds a M. Sc. in Electronic Engineering and a MBA. He has over 21 years' experience as a leader in successfully building technology companies by matching technology innovations globally with the right partners and strategic customers.
